This Alsatian style blend comes from cool vineyards throughout the North Coast: Block House in Napa and McFadden in Mendocino. It was hand-picked, whole cluster pressed, fermented in stainless steel (35%) and neutral French oak barrels (65%), then aged for 5 months sur-lie.

Farmstead White Tasting Notes: Each component of this wine brings its strengths to the blend. The Pinot Blanc adds lovely floral notes and a rich mouthfeel, Pinot Gris has citrus and lively acidity and the Riesling brings a flinty minerality. They meld beautifully in a complex, balanced and imminently drinkable wine.

Reviews
Horse & Plow 2012 'Farmstead White,' North Coast
Rating: 87

This wine blends 40% Pinot Blanc, 32% Pinot Gris and 28% Riesling to nice effect, producing a crisp, balanced wine soft in lemon and pear notes. With toned acidity, it's a long-lasting quaff ready for shellfish or oysters plucked right out of the bay.
