Tasting Notes: Highly representative of classic Rioja Alta wines. Ruby-red with a brick rim; bright. Elegant nose; harmonious aromas with hints of aging and varietal notes. Fine and well-structured in the mouth, with good acidity and polished tannins; very well balanced. Complex finish, with a delicate, persistent fragrance. Good development in the bottle.

Bodegas Riojanas 2006 'Vina Albina' Reserva, Rioja DOCa
Rating: 91

(80% Tempranillo, 15% Mazuelo and 5% Graciano; aged for 30 months in American oak): Bright red. Musky cherry pit and rhubarb scents, with complicating notes of vanilla and pipe tobacco. Smoky and broad on the palate, offering lively red fruit flavors and hints of mocha and coconut. Finishes sweet and long, with resonating smokiness and soft, harmonious tannins.
