Philosophy behind Shebang is to make a killer honestly made table wine. By making it non vintage and a blend of many different varieties, it allows the ultimate flexibility while keeping the winemaking simple and avoid the "dark arts" that so many producers use at this price point; all of the lots, whether from Morgan or from friends see no chips, staves, or other gobbledy-gook. A lot of old vines went into this cuvee.
15% new French Oak, all native yeasts fermentation. This wine provides delicious drinkability. About the Shebang Label: Sherman & Hooker Shebang is a project by Morgan Twain-Peterson, the son of Ravenswood founder Joel Peterson. Morgan grew up in the world of wine in California. In addition to this project, Morgan also produces tiny amounts of old vine, heirloom red and white blends, Pinot Noir, and Syrah under the Bedrock Wine Co. label. Sherman & Hooker is named after the two Civil War generals who founded Bedrock Vineyard in 1854.
