Vineyard Notes: This most sought-after block of grapes is iconic in NW viticulture. The concentration and balance of Syrah from this site is world-class. Farmed by the Washington pioneer of the Syrah grape, Mike Sauer humbly and professionally gives Owen Roe perfect fruit year in and out. The 2011 vintage was exemplary for this fragrant varietal yielding perfume, texture, and silky richness. The Chapel Block Syrah stands toe to toe with the finest in the world and will satisfy those who enjoy powerfully complex wines and the reward of long-term, cool cellaring.

Winemaking Notes: Created from a blend of just 27 barrels, the final production was 665 cases. Aged in 35% new oak (100% French) for nearly 12 months. The blend is comprised of 100% Red Willow Syrah (45% East Chapel & 55% West Chapel), from the Yakima Valley AVA.
