Vineyard Information: Vineyard trained in alberello (bush) system at a density of 6.500 vines per hectare (2,600 vines per acre).

Grape Production: 5000 Kg/Ha.

Winemaking Notes: Soft pressing, less than 60% juice extraction. Fermentation and maturation exclusively in steel tanks.

Tasting Notes: Bright straw yellow color. Aromas of aromatic herbs, thyme and mint over a background of white and yellow pulp fruit on the nose. Elegant and full with developing palate thanks to considerable structure and perfectly balanced fresh and alcoholic components.

"The Giovanna Madonia winery is situated in Bertinoro in eastern Emilia-Romagna; Giovanna took over management of this estate from her father in the early 1990s. Her dry white 'Neblina' is 100% Albana di Romagna from albarello vines that displays the unique qualities of this indigenous variety with its copper color and intriguing aromas of musk oil and pippin apple. Medium-full with excellent concentration, this has lively acidity and notes of white spice in the finish. If one were to assemble a list of "tannic whites," this would definitely be included..."
