Tasting Notes: An opaque, crimson red color coats the glass. Vibrant and concentrated aromas of tobacco and cedar intertwine with plum and boysenberry. Medium to full bodied, the wine shows elegance and structure as it spreads across the palate, subtle tannins round out the texture. Clean finish with hints of red berry fruit. Drink now through 2018. Pair with braised lamb shank, herb-rubbed turkey with corn bread dressing, or winter squash mac & cheese.

Winemaker Notes: "The Carneros region with its climate and clay soils allows us to produce a Merlot which is true to the varietal’s characteristics. The longer growing season allows the fruit to reach maturity slowly, giving us fruit which is soft and elegant, yet rich and full flavored.”
