Winemaking Notes: The Stephen Vincent California Chardonnay is a blend of 50% Monterey County Chardonnay and 50% Clarksburg Chardonnay from the Central Valley. 20% of the wine is barrel fermented in French and American Oak to impart the tannins, while 10% is malolactic fermented to give the wine a buttery flavor, and the remaining 70% is stainless steel fermented, which captures the essence of the Chardonnay fruit.
Tasting Notes: The nose carries slight hints of cured pipe tobacco and prosciutto with butterscotch and warm green apple carrying over into the mouth to be met by a crisp citrus bite with minerals, tamarind, and fig.
