About Rosenberg Lieux-dit: Rosenberg is a "grand terroir" and is located right at the end, an extension, of the Grand Cru Pfersigberg. Rosenberg is a terroir of fairly deep soil, with limestone rocks covered with small parcels of sandstone or flint. The limestone confers power, the clay gives fatness, the sandstone & flint, minerality, subtlety and breeding. This is a vineyard whose E-N-E exposure confers finesse and elegance. It is caressed by northerly winds when they are present.
Winemaking Notes: Grapes are harvested by hand. Vinification is traditional with aging on fine lees.
Tasting Notes: “A
singularly expressive, edgy Pinot Blanc that displays the varietal’s
powerful potential: a pronounced line of salinity supports flavors of
masala chai and mandarin orange.” - Jeremy Quinn
