About the Name: Case Ibidini, second label of Valle dell'Acate, has changed its name to Tenuta Ibidini. The name comes from the district, "Bidini," land of the ancient vineyards owned by the Jacono
family. With the term "Tenuta" the company intends to give prominence to the suggestive stone
architecture and the architectural heritage of the estate that evoke the rural world, and testify the
great attention to the environment and the preservation of traditions and history: heritage that Valle
dell'Acate has boasted for six generations.
About the Wine: The 'Tenuta Ibidini' Nero d'Avola -
intended for a more casual consumption. Wine was aged in steel vats for 6 months. The nose is intense and fruity with small red fruit and spices like licorice. There are hints of leather and mild game. Wine is fresh and velvety on the palate. Pair with meat dishes and grilled vegetables.
About the Label: The bottle has been customized with the picture of the Valle dell'Acate pantry. Painted by
Giovanni Franzi, it is a poetic interpretation of this Sicilian building rich in history with a
breathtaking beauty that makes it already look like real work of art. The inspiration is the result of
the artist's journey to the discovery of the estate. Here, conquered by the charm of the place, he
portrayed the primitive architecture of the winery, playing with the light reflections and shadow that
characterize it.
About the Estate: Today Valle dell'Acate, lead by Gaetana Jacono, Brand Ambassador of the Vittoria’s
Cerasuolo and the Ragusa territory, is one of the most important producer in the Southeast Sicily. Valle dell'Acate is committed to carrying on and enhancing the
ancient winemaking tradition of Ragusa province in the Acate, Comiso and Vittoria triangle. Gaetana Jacono, represents the sixth generation of winemakers.
The company is committed to the development of the area, to the spread of wine culture outside the border of its
land and the adoption of sustainable methods.
The estate covers 100 hectares. Much of it, since 2001, has been replanted with the main vines of the area and
international ones.
