Bottle aging for 6 months. The wine is not filtered. Tasting Notes: Ruby red in color with a fragrant bouquet of wild berries, cherries, plums and enjoyable toasted aromas. In the mouth, the wine is generous, warm and beautifully balanced. Best served with roasted and grilled meats and poultry.
About the Estate: The property extends over an entire 170 hectare portion of land located in the center of the Montefalco DOCG region. The whole terrain is clay and rich in limestone deposits dating from different geological periods: part of it is very deep, other parts very rich in fossils, both giving the wine intense and varied tones.
Surrounded by woodlands, the hilly area is an ideal microclimate for vineyards and olive groves. Ten hectares are assigned to the cultivation of olives and 45 hectares to vines. There are 5,600 plants per hectare set high on the slopes, according to the cordone speronato and Guyot growth systems, facing south and west. The estate is farmed organically.
