The Owen Roe 2012 Chardonnay is sourced from three vineyards in the Yakima Valley: DuBrul, Olsen and their own Outlook Vineyard. The wine spent roughly 6 months in 35% new French oak. The wine sees partial malolactic fermentation (about 25%), weekly batonnage (to enhance the creaminess and texture), and then is racked into stainless steel tanks as soon as the wine has achieved the optimal profile from the barrel aging.
