Vinification: From the pressing to fermentation, takes place in stainless steel vats, at temperature controlled. The skins go through maceration for a 6-7 days, with continuous breaking of the caps, at least twice a day. After the first decanting, the must completes fermentation at a temperature ranging between 20 and 22°. When the fermentation is completed the wine is moved into oak barrels to do malolatic fermentation and there it stays for 10-12 months.

Tasting Notes: Garnet red, typical of Pinot Nero. Intense and fruity bouquet with notes of blueberry and wild strawberry. Wide and full in the mouth, pleasant, harmonious and persistent, with soft tannins, and slightly vanilla finish.

About:
The Terre Gaie estate is located in the village of Vo' Euganeo, half way between the towns of Padova and Vicenza, in a hilly region known as the Colli Euganei with long winemaking tradition. Winemaker Salvatore Lovo, and his daughter Silvia, grow classic varietals of North-Central Italy.
