Winemaking Notes: Destemmed, cold soaked for 5 hours, 14 day fermentation in stainless steel, no pumpovers, no malolactic fermentation, stainless steel aging, bentonite fining, cross flow filtration

Tasting Notes: The poor soils and gentle ocean breezes create tremendous aromatic potential and the great intensity reflected in the wine's floral aromas and fresh, exotic fruit. A full, balanced wine with personality and exquisite elegance. Ideal with goat cheese, shellfish, oysters and mild fish.

Valley Information: Leyda Valley is a sub-region of the San Antonio Valley located between the Coastal Mountain Range and the Pacific Ocean. Its gentle coastal hills are characterized by poor soils and very dry climate. The low day-night temperatures differential is due to the maritime influence. This place is ideal for varieties like Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc.

93pts (2011 vintage) Wine & Spirits 2/2014
"Even with three years of bottle age, this Sauvignon Blanc retains plenty of youthful energy. It smells fresh, citrus and rich with tropical fruit flavors and those notes are projected in the flavor with even depth."
