About: Bull Run Distilling Company's Temperance Trader line was born out of the desire to bring "other" amazing spirits to market -- spirits that they didn't distill, but in which they were fortunate enough to find and finish. In the case of Temperance Trader Straight Bourbon Whiskey it was love at first sip. In fact, they loved this whiskey so much that they snapped up all they could. While their Temperance Trader Bourbon was conceived in Bourbon Country, it was born in the Northwest Territory. The name Temperance Trader is their way of identifying the spirit as one they "found" and proud enough to put their name on it.

Specifications: Small batch, high rye Bourbon made with more than 25% Rye, more than 60% corn and less than 10% barley. Each barrel is aged a minimum of 4 years. The alcohol content varies by batch but stays roughly around 86 proof.

Tasting Notes: A bright, deep amber hue. Mildly sweet and smoky aromas with a hint of butterscotch. Soft, warm initial palate with slight vanilla sweetness. The mid-palate is spicy and warm. The finish is smooth, warm and clean with a touch of honey.
