Quality: STK® stands for Styrian Terroir and Classic Wine Estates and is the seal of quality for pronouncedly Styrian wines. Wines with the Steirische Klassik STK® designation are characterised by intense fruitiness and aged in steel tanks, thus making them particularly typical of their variety and vintage. These wines are at their best when enjoyed within three years of harvest.
In accordance with the regulations of the Styrian Terroir and Classic Wine Estates, wines of the Steirische Klassik STK line are available only after March 1.
Aging: Steel tank, classic aging from October to March on the lees
Tasting Notes: Very lively, deeply aromatic varietal bouquet of yellow capsicum and sugar peas. Artfully structured body with much brilliance of fruit and a caressing melting extract. Piquant and playful with a wonderful presence on the palate. Best with light fish dishes, pasta, risotto and vegetables.
About the Winery: Sattlerhof Winery is one of the leading and internationally most renowned wine estates in Southern Styria. The family business cultivates 30 hectares of vineyards, with Sauvignon Blanc as the most common variety. With the Hotel and Restaurant Sattlerhof, run by Hannes Sattler, the winery is among Styria’s top destinations for connoisseurs of fine food and wine. 89pts (2011 vintage) Wine Enthusiast 7/2013 "With tropical fruit richness, this is a full and rounded Sauvignon Blanc. It has weight, its spicy texture filled out with both opulent fruits and a crisper citrus acidity."
