Five is a farmhouse style pale ale and Upright’s hoppiest beer. The recipe uses large amounts of low oil content varieties, yielding a deep aroma and flavor full of spicy, grassy, and herbaceous notes. The balance leans appetizingly bitter with a long, dry and chalky finish. It’s a great alternative to the city’s abundance of IPA’s and pairs well with spicy foods and most charcuterie.
