At the turn of last century, the Douro wine growers banded together to make a dream - as simple as it was ambitious - come true: bring wine growers (lavradores) together in creating “feitoria” Wines.
Lavradores/de/feitoria was born, bringing together knowledge and experience, ancient and modern, from winemaking to wine selling. Lavradores/de/feitoria was created in the year 2000 with some of the best Douro farms and terroir which totals over 600 hectares.
The combination of 18 estates, many different grape varieties, and vines of different ages contribute to the wines’ complexity and character.Lavradores de Feitoria's wines are all about elegance and balance, showing velvety tannins, everlasting mouth taste, in a fresh overall feeling.
Wine expert Paulo Ruão and LDF’s own Oenology Team use only the highest-grade material to produce Wines.
Table Wines from Douro Valley are blessed by the gods, as much as their Port counterparts. The exquisitely cut and crafted vineyards, planted on the steepest slopes by strongly committed people, date back to the 18th century. Today, modern oenology and viticulture have pushed the quality up considerably, with some Douro wines now found among the best of the world.
