Ludovic, Nathalie, Benoit and Julien Cellier
Country of Origin: France
Location: Châteauneuf-du-Pape
People: Ludovic, Julien & Benoit Cellier, Owners & Winemakers

Though the family can trace its history in the vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape across 8 generations, the domaine, in its current form, was created in 2007 when brothers Ludovic, Julien and Benoit took over their family estate from their father, Marc. They have 8 different varietals of mostly older vines (45 years old on average) in 24 parcels totaling 13 hectares scattered across Châteauneuf-du-Pape from which they produce 4 different cuvées. They also make a Côtes du Rhône and a VDP from vineyards just outside the appellation. The wines have been well-noted in the French and English press and received solid notes in the US press. Great value.

Ludovic and Nathalie (wife): Ludovic chose early on to move toward agricultural studies and followed its entire school curriculum (from 3rd grade to B.T.S viticulture-œnology) at the wine high school of Orange. He began to work with his father on the family estate in 1999 and was in charge of vinification. What’s more natural for him to continue to take care of vinification and the French trade market on Domaine des 3 Cellier. Nathalie had an arts training. She studied at the Dance Academy of Montpellier then turned to the Faculty of English in Avignon. Within Les 3 Cellier she handles the administrative and the entire export trade.

Julien: He first attended traditional studies and obtained a science graduate. Then he obtained a B.T.S viticulture-œnology and a Master Vine, Wine and Quality. He supports his brother since 2004 during the critical period of vinification and officially took over the vineyard in 2008.

Benoit: He first attended traditional studies and obtained a science graduate. He is now studying International Trade and will find its place at the end of his studies (if he still wants) on the export side with Nathalie.
